The puppet play “Animal Tails” will open the season for the Library Kids Lead the Way summer reading program at Mary Wilson Library at 3:30 p.m. June 19. The Seal Beach Host Lions is sponsoring the first event, and other community groups will pitch in on the children’s Monday afternoon series running through Aug. 11. Prizes will be awarded for every five books read.
The library is recruiting teenagers to volunteer in the reading activities. Information: (562) 431-3584.
