The Cleta Harder Developmental School is hosting its second annual Western Barbecue and “friend-raiser” Saturday to benefit students and help expansion efforts.
“It’s a chance for us to meet new people in the community and talk about the service our school provides,” said Tammy Raices, director of fund-raising for the school.
The Cleta Harder School offers instruction and physical therapy for children with brain injuries and physical or developmental disabilities.
The friend-raiser is a way to introduce possible donors to the school and let them know of efforts to expand its capacity, Raices said.
Cleta Harder Developmental School is at 981 N. Euclid St. and the barbecue runs between 4 and 8 p.m.
