The Irvine Public Works Department will hold its second annual open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Operations Support Facility, 6427 Oak Canyon, next to the Irvine Animal Care Center. City officials will offer demonstrations, exhibits, games and giveaways for the family event. Public works vehicles and equipment will be on display and children can have their pictures taken in a dump truck or street sweeper. Information: (949) 724-7365.
