Toledo and Cordova Pitch California High to Victory

Jack Toledo and Vincent Cordova combined on a one-hitter as Whittier California defeated Santa Barbara, 8-0, in the Southern Section Division II title game Saturday at Dodger Stadium.
Toledo struck out six, walked three and gave up one hit in four innings. Cordova pitched three perfect innings of relief, striking out six.
Billy Armenta and Arlie Kearney each drove in a run for California (26-3-1).
Santa Barbara finished 25-4.
