* Update--Washburn had a no-hitter through five innings in his last start Monday against Cleveland but was pulled because of tightness in his shoulder. Medication helped reduce the inflammation, and Washburn was able to get in his usual between-starts throwing Friday. This season has amounted to a two-month audition for Perez, who always seems to be teetering between the big leagues and triple-A Albuquerque. But the left-hander has gone 4-1 in his last six starts and given up three earned runs or less in six of his nine starts.
