The Highland Park Heritage Trust will offer docent-led tours of El Mio residence--an 1885 Queen Anne--and nine other hilltop homes in Mount Angelus, Highland Park, Mount Washington and Montecito Heights on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The homes, whose styles include Victorian, Mission, Spanish Colonial and Craftsman, overlook the Arroyo Seco. Until it was developed 100 years ago, the arroyo was an untamed canyon surrounded by pastureland and rolling hills.
The tour begins at Audubon Center, 6024 Monte Vista St. in Highland Park. Tickets cost $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event. The cost includes light refreshments. For information, call (323) 223-4895, or visit https://www.restorationcentral.com.
