A body was found Saturday floating in a small lake at Hansen Dam Recreation Area, police said.
A woman spotted the man floating face down about 3 p.m. and called authorities, said Sgt. Phil Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division. No foul play is suspected, he said.
The newly renovated recreation area has swimming and fishing lakes. But the victim, believed to be in his 40s, was found in a smaller lake behind the baseball fields, an area not meant for public use, Smith said.
Police believe the body had been in the water for at least a day. The county coroner will perform an autopsy.
