ICN Pharmaceuticals Buys Drug Cesamet from Eli Lilly

Costa Mesa drug maker ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc. said on Friday that it has acquired the drug Cesamet from Eli Lilly and Co. for the Canadian market. Cesamet, the brand name for nabilone, is approved in Canada for the management of severe nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy. Cesamet will be marketed and distributed by ICN in Canada. Terms were not disclosed.
