The Yorba Linda City Council on Wednesday filled two vacancies on the Planning Commission when they selected Kirk Nakamura and Dennis Equitz out of the 10 candidates they interviewed.
Nakamura has more than 18 years of experience as a civil trial lawyer specializing in construction, personal injury and insurance coverage. /db Equitz has taught high school for the past 15 years. He is a member of advisory and planning committees at Paramount High School in Paramount, where he works.
The new commissioners are expected to be sworn in on June 14.
