The City Council reinstated overnight parking permits for a subdivision of Capistrano Villas, adding it to the other two subdivisions where permits are already required.
In a unanimous vote, the council voted Wednesday to require permanent stickers for residents of Capistrano Villa I, which has 232 condominium units. The council will also form a task force of city staff and residents to examine long-term parking solutions.
The meeting drew more than 170 people, mostly residents from Capistrano Villas, who voiced their concerns over the chronic parking problem.
