Lancaster Happy to Leave Town After Modesto Sweeps Series, 2-0

Left-hander Mario Ramos pitched a two-hitter and struck out 14 in Modesto’s 2-0 victory over Lancaster in a California League game Saturday night at Modesto.

Jesus Basabe hit a run-scoring double in the third and Ryan Ludwick hit his league-leading 25th home run for the A’s (56-50, 17-19). Harvey Hargrove and Craig Kuzmic had the only hits for the JetHawks (67-39, 27-9), who were swept in three games at Modesto.
