Rivals.com to Stem Losses

Sports Web site operator Rivals.com is cutting 21% of its staff with the layoff of 40 employees, including three vice presidents, in a bid to stem continuing losses. The company, which has filed for an initial public offering of stock, said it remains financially sound and no additional layoffs are expected.
