The Fire Department will receive what they say is a first-of-its kind fire-investigation vest that has ballistic panels at a ceremony Thursday. The new vest, donated by U.S. Armor, will offer high-level protection and have special pockets for investigation tools. The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. at department headquarters, 11301 Acacia Parkway.
