‘Wander Year’ Snobs
The irate letters about the Wander Year series by Mike McIntyre are a hoot (“More Wander Wars,” Letters Annex, July 9). It seems that these snobs know the proper way to respond to travel experiences, the proper foods to eat and the proper words for countries. And they proclaim the “poor boy” narrow. Well, if looking for a hamburger is a sin, perhaps they should condemn Swedes who look for Swedish coffee in Sardinia, French who choose French cuisine in Germany, Germans who seek German food in Cape Town. Hey, it’s not called comfort food for nothing. Please print more of those letters from irritated and superior travel snobs. I love the laughs.
