The City Council has unanimously decided to contribute $200,000 for the addition of a storage room at El Toro Library to free up space in the community room, where books and equipment are piled up.
The county will contribute about $70,000 of the estimated $300,000 cost and the Friends of the El Toro Library will help make up the difference, said county Librarian John Adams.
Last month, the council approved a preliminary agreement but changes had to be made to clarify how the use of the community room would be split among the county, the city and the public.
