Jean Lamb, 87, was recently recognized by the Orange County Public Library for her work with the Friends of the Tustin Library. She was selected from 12 finalists to receive the annual Best Friend Award, which honors outstanding service within the volunteer program. Lamb has been involved with the group since 1975.
Lamb has shown commitment “not just by raising funds, purchasing library resources and working in the bookstore, but by putting in an enormous effort, year after year,” said Andrea Martin, a representative of the county’s Literacy Program.
