‘Smoking Police’
* The government continues to intrude on the citizens’ rights. On July 13 you reported that the “smoking police” [activists planning to file lawsuits or complaints] were going to go out and do undercover surveillance of bars to catch smokers. I am not a smoker, but does not the Fire Department have better and more important things to do? If people want to smoke, let them. It is their choice.
On July 14, you report that the police are checking for cruisers on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. The police are going to write $500 tickets if they catch you cruising Sunset. Cruising is defined as going past the same point twice in one night. So, Americans, if you miss your left turn on Sunset, do not turn around. Wait a day!
