* Occidental Petroleum Corp. reached an agreement to sell offshore oil and gas interests in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico from Apache Corp. of Houston for $385 million as part of its effort to reduce debt. Los Angeles-based Occidental said it expects to record a pretax gain of about $65 million on the deal, but didn’t specify in which quarter.
