Councilwomen Marcia Rudolph and Helen Wilson are set to run for reelection.
Rudolph has already turned in her candidacy papers and Wilson has picked up the papers to run for a third term.
So far, four other candidates plan to compete for the two positions in the Nov. 7 election. They are David Carter, Tim Redwine, Nicholas Makhlessin and Sharon Hankins.
For the first time, the residents of Foothill Ranch and Portola Hills will be eligible to vote and run for office.
Registered voters can file nominations until 5 p.m. Aug 11.
