Artists, ensembles or nonprofit organizations scheduled to perform or exhibit this season at the city’s Civic Arts Plaza are eligible to apply for financial grants from arts supporters.
The grants, which total $26,000, will be doled out in various amounts to help individuals and groups with their costs, plaza officials said.
Funds have been made available the past several seasons, and this year funds have been donated by biotech giant Amgen, the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation and the Alliance for the Arts.
The money is available to anyone scheduled to present or perform in the Fred Kavli Theater, Scherr Forum and most other areas of the plaza, according to Virginia Davis, a foundation spokeswoman.
The application deadline is 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31. For information, 449-2700.
