The third of three men accused in a double stabbing in Ventura in May has been arrested in Oxnard, authorities reported.
Leon Tuuu, 20, was arrested Thursday night by Oxnard Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit and remained in Ventura County Jail Friday night in lieu of $250,000 bail, authorities said.
Tuuu, Frank Flores, 20, and Daniel Gutierrez, 19, all of Ventura, are accused of attacking two men during a May 27 house party in the 300 block of Barnett Street in Ventura.
One victim, Jorge Garra, was stabbed in the head and his friend, who was not identified, was stabbed in the arm. Both suffered minor injuries and were treated and released.
Flores and Gutierrez were arrested June 27 after authorities served search warrants at six locations in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
Authorities won’t discuss the exact motive in the stabbings, but said the three suspects are members of a Ventura street gang and that the victims live in Oxnard and associate with rival gang members there.
