Starting Monday, residents interested in serving on the City Council can pick up applications for three seats that will become available this year.
Applicants must be registered voters and city residents to be eligible to run for the four-year terms.
The deadline for completed applications is set for 5 p.m. Aug. 11, but that may be extended to Aug. 16 if any of the incumbent council members do not file for reelection by the first date, city officials said.
The election will be Nov. 7. Applications should be returned to City Clerk Sharie Apodaca in City Hall at 201 E. La Habra Blvd.
