An ad-hoc committee looking into recreational vehicle parking is recommending that the city not change its current parking codes.

At a recent meeting, the Recreational Vehicle Ad Hoc Committee, a group of five RV owners and five nonowners, agreed that the city should actively enforce its parking laws, city officials said. The committee was created by the City Council to review current parking laws and various options regarding recreational vehicle parking on neighborhood streets.

Under city law, RVs must be moved every 72 hours. In the past, the law has been seldom enforced.
