The Planning Commission will decide whether to reinstate a conditional use permit for First Southern Baptist Church during tonight’s meeting.
The permit would allow First Baptist to add a 5,200-square-foot multipurpose building on the church property at 6801 Western Ave. The original permit, issued in 1998, expired in December 1999 when code violations the city wanted addressed weren’t corrected. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the council chamber, 6650 Beach Blvd.
