Renovation of three hotels which will make up a 360-room Anabella Hotel on Katella Avenue began Friday. Work began on the former Golden Forest hotel. The former Magic Carpet and Magic Lamp hotels are still operating, but will close Sept. 5 for renovation. The new Anabella is expected to open in February 2001, coincident with the opening of Disney’s new theme park, California Adventure.
