Body of 84-Year-Old Man Found at Royal Palms Beach

SAN PEDRO — The body of an 84-year-old man who may have fallen to his death was found Tuesday in a rugged area of Royal Palms State Beach, authorities said.
Firefighters used a helicopter to remove the body, which was discovered about 1 p.m. below the 75-foot cliffs in the 1800 block of Paseo del Mar, west of Point Fermin.
The identity of the man was not available. An autopsy was pending.
