U.S., North Korea Resume Missile Talks

U.S and North Korean officials greeted each other warmly before resuming talks about the Communist nation’s missile program, and top American negotiator Robert Einhorn said the three-day meeting in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital, was being held against a “promising backdrop.” When the two sides met in Pyongyang in March 1999, North Korea rejected a U.S. demand to halt its missile development and exports.
