The City Council will consider today whether to approve construction of the St. Verena Coptic Orthodox Church at Vermont Avenue and State College Boulevard.

The church has faced opposition from some neighbors and City Council members who complain its design does not include adequate parking. Recreational users of nearby Boysen Park also fear parking will spill over into the already limited parking spaces at the park.
