Council to Consider Plan for Old City Hall
- Share via
The City Council is expected to vote tonight whether to spend $4 million to convert the 401 Hillcrest North Building into office space for the Conejo Recreation and Park District and performing space for the Arts Council Center.
The council budgeted the money last year to reopen the old city hall building, which has been vacant since 1988. The park district offices at 155 E. Wilbur Road are too small, officials said.
The National Park Service now occupies the 20,000-square-foot 401 Hillcrest South Building. It could still be a couple years before the park district and arts group can relocate to the neighboring building.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
