Re “Convention to Refuse Tobacco Firms’ Donations,” July 6:
I must be missing something here. How is it the Democrats feel taking money from the willing tobacco industry for their convention is wrong but taking money from L.A.’s underserved, overburdened taxpayers is just fine? What services will the city be denied for this moral grandstanding?
