POMONA — A church youth activities supervisor pleaded no contest Monday to sex crime charges involving three girls under the age of 18. He was sentenced to two years in prison.
Anthony Howard Daenzer, 28, of Glendora, received the sentence in exchange for his decision not to contest charges of unlawful sex with a minor, oral copulation with a minor and sexual battery.
Pomona Superior Court Judge Jack Hunt dismissed three other sex crime charges against Daenzer.
Deputy Dist. Atty. Christine Weiss said Daenzer had sex with one girl at her Glendora home, and with another girl at her home in unincorporated Claremont. The sexual battery occurred on the premises of the Pilgrim Congregational Church.
Those incidents occurred between Dec. 22, 1999, and May 30. Daenzer supervised various church youth activities, including car washes, basketball games and high school and college youth group meetings .
