DFD to Provide Services to Power Plants in State

DFD California Operations, an affiliate of Duke/Fluor Daniel joint venture, obtained a five-year contract to provide operating plant services for four power plants in California. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Duke/Fluor Daniel, formed in 1989 by Duke Energy Corp. and Fluor Corp. in Aliso Viejo, provides engineering, procurement, construction and operating plant services for fossil-fueled electric power generation facilities.
The company said in a press release that it received the contract from Duke Energy Corp.’s North America unit. The power plants, with a combined generating capacity of 3,351 megawatts, are Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County, Moss Landing in Monterey County, Oakland in Alameda County and South Bay in San Diego County.
