Re “State Will Pay Motorists to Dump or Fix Old Cars,” July 4:
So, in this state it’s no longer a privilege to drive your own car but a right. Not to worry if you can’t afford repairs to pass the smog test; the state will take care of that.
Socialism may be dead in Russia, but it’s making progress in California.
