Dog Rescued From Dana Point Cliff
Orange County Fire Authority rescue crews worked for 2 1/2 hours to save a dog stranded on a cliff near Dana Point Harbor on Saturday.
Rescuers were called shortly before 3 p.m. to 24322 Santa Clara Ave., where a firefighter was lowered to retrieve the dog, which was perched precariously above a 300-foot drop. The animal, however, was frightened and ran down the ledge.
Two other firefighters were lowered over the side to help, and the three managed to lower the animal to the ground.
