* Re “The Throttle Is Wide Open on a Big Spending Binge,” Commentary, June 30:
We need to let up on the throttle of big government spending. Members of the state and federal governments do not understand that this temporary surplus tax revenue is not a free ride. We should be paying down the government debt and buy back both federal and state bonds.
