Dominguez’s Brooks Picks Titans

Keith Brooks, a 6-foot-7 forward from Compton Dominguez High, said Wednesday he has committed to play basketball at Cal State Fullerton.
Brooks averaged 17 points for a team that won the Division II state championship, defeating Newark Memorial in the title game in Sacramento.
Brooks was selected to the The Times’ Southeast/South Coast all-star team.
Brooks said he turned down scholarship offers to Washington State and Michigan to join Coach Donny Daniels’ Titan program.
“I chose Fullerton because I wanted to stay close to home where my family and friends could see me play,” Brooks said.
