After conducting a speed and traffic study on five city streets, a traffic engineer hired by the city has recommended two changes.
One is reducing the speed limit from 45 to 40 miles per hour on Antonio Parkway between Elena Honesto and Marbella. The other is for the city to lower the limit from 50 to 45 miles per hour on Melinda Road between Santa Margarita Parkway and Regresso.
The council will decide tonight whether to make the changes.
The council is being asked to consider the engineer’s report and direct city staff to return at a later meeting with an ordinance based on the council’s decision.
