The Police Department will offer a free class on disaster preparedness starting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lakeview Senior Center.
The class will focus on the steps families should take to be self-sufficient for the first 72 hours after a major earthquake or natural disaster.
Preregistration is required for the event, which is being held at the center, 20 Lake Road.
