* Sara Davis has resigned as girls’ basketball coach at Tustin after one season to concentrate on her schooling.

Davis, a 1994 graduate of Tustin, must complete another year for her degree in criminal justice at Long Beach State.

The Tillers were 5-20.

ADMINISTRATION

Rick Falk has been hired as an athletic director at Foothill High, he said.

Falk will replace Jerry Whitaker, who retired, as one of the school’s two athletic directors. Falk will share duties with Vince Brown, who has been the school’s boys’ athletic director. They will split responsibilities by sport, Falk said.

Falk has been at Foothill for three years and has assisted in girls’ basketball, baseball and girls’ golf.

BASEBALL

Woodbridge’s walk-on baseball coach, David Madrid, resigned after being asked by the school to do so, Athletic Director Alan Dugard said.

Madrid’s baseball-only connection to his players was the reason for the administration’s concern, Dugard said.
