Party animals had their work cut out for them this long Fourth of July weekend, which blasted off for some revelers on Friday and won’t end with a bang until tonight.

If you want to get technical, the Fourth of July, or Independence Day, celebrates the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

These men and 53 others signed the document that brought our country into being.
So go fly your red-white-and-blue to honor our past and then join your neighbors for some barbecue.
