Laguna Hills Mall has awarded $25,000 in cash prizes to 35 schools that participated in the fund-raising Schoolperks program.
Oak Grove Elementary School in Aliso Viejo finished in first place with more than 2 million points, winning the top prize of $2,500. The program, which earns points for schools when families, friends and faculty make purchases at the mall, began five years ago and has awarded more than $75,000 in cash prizes.
