* Re “The new, improved Miranda,” editorial cartoon, June 29: Someone should inform Michael Ramirez that it is no “technicality” to expect police officers to be diligent and thorough in the execution of their duties. If they are not, they have no right to expect perpetrators of crimes (who, by the way, take no oath to uphold the law) to be prosecuted and incarcerated.
