Celebrating the Fourth in the Southland

Here’s a partial list of Fourth of July festivities for today and Monday, in Orange County and Long Beach:

TODAY

LONG BEACH

Red, White and Blue Fourth of July Weekend. The Queen Mary hosts fireworks through Tuesday, 9 p.m.; carnival in the Queen Mary Events Park today and Tuesday, noon to 11 p.m.; Monday, 1 to 11 p.m. Carnival, fireworks and live music included in Queen Mary general admission, $13. 1126 Queens Highway, end of Long Beach Freeway. YORBA LINDA

Revolutionary War Living History Encampment. The event will feature a ceremonial raising of a replica of the “Betsy Ross” flag. Actors portraying soldiers and townspeople in authentic dress bring the Revolutionary War era to life. Visitors can see a reenactment of the Battle of Lexington and Concord and tour the tents and battle encampments, where they can talk to actors playing British and American officers. There will also be music, dancing and crafts. The show is free with library admission of $5.95 for adults; $3.95 for seniors; $2 for children 8-11. Children 8 and under are admitted free.
