Senate Rejects Bork Nomination

Judge Bork justified many of his past decisions by saying that the issues decided were best dealt with by the legislature rather than by the courts.
Then, with his own nomination on the line, Bork criticized the Senate for its proper, constitutional review of his qualifications. Yes, Judge Bork, it’s original intent--read Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution. He also demanded an immediate vote, thus attempting to interfere directly with the work of the legislature.
Bork is either extremely dishonest or extremely confused. In either case, the Senate was correct to reject him.
