The Cal State Northridge soccer team will play host to Cal State Bakersfield in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. game at 7:30 tonight at North Campus Stadium.
CSUN (13-1-1, 5-0-1 in conference play), ranked No. 1 in Division II, is a heavy favorite to beat the Roadrunners, who have not won a conference game in six years. Bakersfield (4-12-1, 0-5-1) recently tied Cal State Dominguez Hills, 0-0. It was the first time Bakersfield had not lost a conference game since Nov. 5, 1983, when the Roadrunners tied UC Riverside, 0-0.
“I think they’re getting better,” CSUN Coach Marwan Ass’ad said.
