Farmers Group’s earnings were up 16% to $62.1 million for the third quarter, compared to the same quarter last year. Revenue totaled $313.1 million, an increase of 11% from the 1986 quarter. The Los Angeles insurance company said the results reflect higher average premiums and reduced income taxes.
