Parades are good for morale. They bring people together. It’s good to celebrate. Parades remind us who we are. They keep alive our history.
They put some zest, spirit and pride into our lives, especially children, many of whom will be sailing to the planets in the future wearing Christopher Columbus T-shirts and Dodger baseball caps.
