Newport Beach : Holiday Work Offered to Would-Be Santas

Would-be Santa Clauses can find work this holiday season through Newport Beach, which is accepting applications for its “Rent-a-Santa” program.
Rent-a-Santa is a community-service program offered to Newport Beach residents for a minimal fee. Residents have the opportunity to rent Santa for half an hour or longer to entertain their holiday guests at birthday parties and social gatherings or to just to drop in on the kids.
Prospective applicants must be available Dec. 1 to 23 at various times throughout the day until 10 p.m. For information, call (714) 644-3151.
