A man was killed Friday when he ran into the path of a truck on Interstate 8, authorities said.
The death is being considered a possible suicide, according to the San Diego County Coroner’s office.
The victim was identified as Kenneth David Berg, 26, of El Cajon.
At 10:25 a.m., authorities said, Berg ran in front of a tractor-trailer rig that was eastbound on Interstate 8 at about 50 m.p.h. Before the incident, the California Highway Patrol said, Berg had been seen loitering in the vicinity, near the Murray Drive exit.
