Philip Morris’ income was up 21.4% to $502 million in the third quarter. The New York-based company said market share and volume increased in its tobacco operations and General Foods’ revenue was also up, led by gains in Post cereals and baked goods. Total revenue was up 8.9% to $7 billion.
